Not that I'm particularly badly injured now, but I'm sure at some point in the future I will have to have an enforced lay off. What I want to know is, are there any decent DVDs I could watch to keep me inspired/interested, and give my brain a little food for thought while I can't get in and train?
Just watching endless instructionals would be boring, especially if I can't actually try stuff out. I'm thinking more along the lines of a documentary-type film but with enough technique/theory on display to keep my mind actively stimulated. Any ideas?

Was down at the video store the other day, having a look around, and i noticed a movie starring Rashad Evans with UFC fighters like Forrest and Nate Marquadt in it (Jardine's in it too). I think it's called Unrivaled or Undisputed or some shit.
Anyway, have any of you seen it? of course it sucks balls but is it funny/bad or just fucking terrible?

Was just crusin through youtube and found some interesting videos on medieval paintings that often show saucer like objects.Most paintings are done by medieval Christians and often depict scenes from the Bible.Some are maybe a bit to much pushed with imagination but most are clearly showing what we would call UFO's in todays world!!Its very very interesting!!

There was an incident earlier today, and while nothing will probably come of it I can't help but feel a bit paranoid. If you don't feel like reading, I've included some pictures at the end that summarize things.
It was nice out and I decided to go out for a run, this was a mistake however as it has been way too hot (33C) today for that kind of shit. My entire body was soaked in a layer of sweat and I was getting dizzy, so I cut my run short and headed home. My parents live between my place and the park I go running at, so I decided to stop by and get a drink and rest for a minute. I actually have to come back here tonight for a dinner as my aunt and her kids are visiting from Greece. When I got to my parents place I rushed past my mom and downed about a litre of water then headed to the bathroom to dry off. I took off my clothes and tried to dry them off as best I could by squeezing the moisture out of them, then sat down for a quick piss...at which point my aunt who I didn't know was already there came in.
My aunt, a bit shocked as she probably didn't even know who I was given I last saw her probably 10 years ago, screamed a bit. My mom yelled up to ask me what was going on, at which point her sister realized who I was...and yet...she lingered. For a few seconds she just looked at me and said nothing, then motioned towards my crotch, giggled and left. I looked down to see that I no longer had a penis. All the sweat shrunk my dick down to the size of a thimble, but I know that my aunt doesn't realize that it's only temporary, and there lies the problem. Should I confront her about it?
My worry is that she'll tell others about it, and as such the misinformation will spread and I'll be known as the guy with the tiny dick. I have family across canada, the us, and europe, and this could really screw me over. However, that might not be her intention at all and by confronting it she might think I'm some sort of freak. I'll see her again in a few hours at dinner, and then she'll be leaving to go visit other fmaily in ontario, so time is of the essence.

I have googled him, to not much avail. He was great. He had Fedor's same "1000 yard stare", and was great at throwing people down judo style and controlling them. He was a protege of the great UFC legend Gerard Gordeau, and I have seen a few clips of him training with more current fighters. Anyone have any updates on the big man?

If Tony gets another fight he should not be paid anywhere near what he got for the Randy fight. His name recognition does not count for anything now in an MMA fight. He should make what any other guy thats 0-1 in the UFC would make, which is basially peanuts. Let him earn the money like everyone else.
I've been noticing it for awhile now but this just made me laugh. Mike Swick is still #10 at Welterweight after a clear cut decision loss to Dan Hardy and getting choked out by Paulo Thiago. Yet Matt Hughes has won 3 straight, the last of which was choking Ricardo Almeida unconsious (Almeida was the healthy favorite, I got Hughes at +155) and Hughes still isn't on the other contenders list??? Im 40+(no im not telling you my age) and after the military, my body has gone to shit. its been over 10 years since i retired and with 2 reconstructed knees, 4 fused vertebrea, and left ankle gone theres not really anything i can do anymore as far as excersize.
I eat right, swim 3x week, and walk 1/2 mile w wife every day, yet ive been getting fatter, and weaker over time. Dr said my heart is great, and i dont need synthroid or anything else.
Any advise i could get would be great...

So after 2 years of training, my 16 oz gloves caught all kinds of nasty shit in the velcro area, including a lot of hair. Is there anyway to clean the velcro?
Hey guys, until about 2 years ago I was the stereotypical gym rat that you guys all love to hate. I had huge muscles, no cardio, no fighting ability at all, and had my muscles inflated with tons of water (Creatine). I did a small steroid cycle once, and at my peak weighed 205ish, literally pure muscle (i'm 5'10-11). In the last 2 years I haven't worked out at all ( i still jog) and now weigh 170-180, and am very lean. I felt that even when I was 185-190 (pre steroids) I wasn't nearly as strong as I looked. ALL of my workouts were about getting bigger, not getting stronger.
So in the last few months I started training mma, and noticed I cut even more weight. I seem to gain muscle really easily, so avoided the gym altogether since i don't want to be in a high weight class, especially not being strong. I'm worried that after a few months at the gym I'll get back my big puffy useless muscles, and weigh like 185-190, but have the strength of a 170lber.
Do you guys think I should continue training mma w/o weights, and then eventually cut down so I fight at 155? Do you think I'd have "quality muscle" by doing it this way? Should I just use very specific workouts? What do you think?

what would be the best streching exercise to do to get your high kicks more loose or limber,flexible. I'm good from the ribs down no problem there I just want to get more flexible so I can start kicking to the head.
