As Glenn Beck correctly predicted from day one, Obama is following the plan of Cloward & Piven, two professors at Columbia University. They outlined a plan to socialize America by overwhelming the system with government spending and entitlement demands. Add up the clues below. Taken individually they’re alarming. Put the entire burden on only the top 20 percent of taxpayers, redistribute the income, punish success, and reward those who did nothing to deserve it (except vote for Obama). What’s the cost of time worth to save a young child’s whole life, only to have that child abducted or snatched from life at a young age by a person or a bad decision made by oneself? That one time where you could have intervened and changed the course of one’s future forever? Kids make mistakes and must learn, but should that cost them innocence, fear, stress, and years of rehabilitation later? We pay massive taxes on medical and insurance claims trying to undo the horror of what drug use and prison do to a person. That one person was young and had the whole world in front of them at one time; in the busy world of today, where we work all the time, we cannot be held responsible for what happens to our children when we are not home. We can’t turn back time and save our son from trying drugs with friends, and we can’t save our daughter from being a little wild and getting herself in big trouble with the wrong people.
Yes, you can, and you have had the power to turn back time and change things all along. In the world, we have alarm systems to alert police and security companies when someone is breaking in our homes to harm us. We have surveillance video cameras to see what’s going on in our homes and small businesses, but who’s watching our own families when we are at work? Who is reading what our kids text and write on the computer when we are not allowed to look? Who is GPS tracking the phone in my daughter’s pocket when she said she was at the mall?
We can and will if you want Big Brother. We are here to serve you and train you how to multi-task everything from your fingertips to your eyes and ears. Remember you are the person who pays the bills and protects your family; your children are counting on you to keep them safe in life. Police and law enforcement can show up only after the fact and try to protect and serve. What is the cost of a son going to prison or getting hooked on a lethal drug for most of his adult life? What is the cost of a good daughter getting pregnant and throwing college out the window and becoming another single mother stuck raising a family on her own in a world of heartbreak? What is the cost of time?

I know, I know, stop your whining, you’ve been waiting with bated/baited breath(s) for the outcome, and here I am to answer.
I did find a home, and it was on Craigslist. George Burns and I moved to East Asheville, a great sort-of neighborhood in the country. Nice. Cottage, whatever that is, have to get used to no central air, but the gardening space and the gas stove make up for that. New(er) home, maybe 4 - 5 years old, terribly built, but just right for me. Moved in the first part of the month, but seems that I’ve been here for a long time, and I just might be. Quiet out here, except for the barking dogs who want to challenge my bulldog - silly dogs. Very dark here in the country, all the stars defy each other to be seen. Yep, I like it. Back to taking care of a house with the garbage having to be taken out, and the recycling, making sure that all things are “off” before I retire, just different from the apartment community where I lived for 2 years.
I’m more isolated than I was, but that’s intentional, as you would believe. I like it. I’m here, and alive despite the move, which, according to all people, is indeed hell-ish. Then the movers left, and here we were.
since the topic of reopening the walkway over 240 and the smokypark bridge many people have expressed their opinions about the situation in hillcrest….including whether Asheville is a segregated city…...something happened last night that will put some light on the situation….with it being hot outside we keep our door shut due to the heat…..as the sun goes down we like to open our doors and let the cool air in and cool down the house….my neighbor had had her stereo on all day and we said nothing about it….but as we opened the door the music continued and we realized that the volumn kept getting louder .....this has happened before….we have asked her to turn the music down before and have always gotten a rude comment with the music going down for about 5-10 min. only to be turned up again…...with that the police were called and when they showed up the music was turned down…people stand and yell man down or man coming around when police enter hillcrest…people (drug dealers) disappear and music in cars and houses gets turned down…after the police stopped and said something to the neighbor and left…the neighbor and her friends started yelling rude comments and turned the stereo back up, we were told to leave the neighborhood, this was their neighborhood and if we didn’t like it get out…..my neighbor is black and her friends are black…we are white….many times we have been yelled at in this neighborhood because of our race…the police were called again and as they were settling the dispute between my neighbor and myself someone threw stuff at the officer standing at the top of the stairs…..he was white…the citizen-times paper will not deliver into hillcrest nor will certain pizza places…..due to the actions of the residents…the city bus system has had discussions on not running in hillcrest….its the people in this place that make it segregated…..if we had the money to move believe me we wouldn’t be in hillcrest…
